A Finance professional with a global appetite — for deals and great food

About Me

Growing up with an English name in Japan wasn’t always the smoothest. People like me get used to the awkward stares during attendance, or hearing your name whispered like it’s a mystery to solve. But there’s an old Japanese saying that I’ve always held close: mitsugo no tamashii hyaku made—"the soul of a three-year-old lasts until a hundred." It’s a reminder that the things we love early in life tend to stick. For me, that’s always been Japan. Food, in particular, has been my lifelong anchor to culture. I’ve always believed it’s the most immersive way to experience a place—especially Japan, where every dish tells a story.

Outside being a foodie, I’ve spent most of my time working in finance. From the trading floors in Tokyo to M&A boardrooms in New York, numbers have paid the bills—but food has always fed the soul.
